about me
The web has been my primary medium since 1999, and I have had the good fortune to work in many different environments — large, small, for-profit, nonprofit, e-commerce, public health, etc. Design is a fun and ever-changing business, and I’m constantly inspired by all the smart and creative people I come in contact with.
I also love to geek out on new technologies and figure out how they can help solve usability problems (though they sometimes create new ones!).
My experience includes:
- information architecture
- interaction design
- graphic design
- requirements definition
- usability testing
- QA (visual and usability)
- writing instructions and documentation
- embedded user assistance
- interpreting site analytics
- developing and maintaining style guidelines
- conformance to standards (W3C, accessibility, etc.)
- working directly with non-technical clients and end-users
- front-end development (XHTML, CSS)
- training and facilitation
